We wake up every Sunday morning saying "Sunday Funday!". It's the one day ap is home all day, or it's his Saturday if he has that Monday off, too. It's always a jammed packed day, but I think we really only get done 2 out of the 30 things we always want to get done. By the time we are all up, clean, dressed and milk is pumped, it's already past noon.
But the ultimate highlight of my weekend (or the entire week for that matter) is watching my k.drama with ap. I go through phases where I watch every single k.drama on air, or none at all, or only a couple. Right now, I am only watching one. I wish I can go back to my lazy couch potato days of watching every single drama I possibly can, but who are we kidding... I'm lucky to sit on the couch for even one hour in a week.
Ap never watches k.dramas. Ever.
But he is hooked. He tells me every Saturday before leaving for work "Dont watch it without me! We have to watch both episodes tomorrow TOGETHER.". Ummmm....okay. Who are you and what did you do with my husband? The one who always rolled his eyes and made unnecessary side comments when I watched one with "Why do you watch this crap?!", " Omg, are you serious?!", or silently left the room.
So nowadays, every Sunday night, after both boys are in bed, ap and I kick our feet up and watch this together. And he won't admit but I think my husband actually enjoys it more than I do.
I think he likes it because it doesn't have the typical female character where she is always crying because either her husband is cheating on her, or she awaits her prince charming to sweep her off her feet out of her janky one room basement house, or a crazy MIL scheming to torture her DIL, or long lost siblings who don't know they are siblings and fall in love with the same girl. You get the point. Ap hates drama. (I don't know HOW he married me lol). And the funniest thing...my in-laws take Owen for the weekend about every other week to help me out since AP is not home on Saturdays. I know, call me a wuss, but taking care of a toddler and a newborn alone all day is grueling. My MIL told us that they would be watching this Saturday night and Owen sits there fixated on it and doesn't act out or make a peep the entire hour. LOL. Like father like son.

Tomorrow is Gavin's 100 day celebration. My sister has been giving me major guilt trips about how lackadaisical I am about this 100 day vs. Owen's last year. No decoration, no banners...in fact, I kept forgetting the date and almost made other plans. I am so sorry Gavin. I promise - it doens't mean mommy loves you any less. This will all explain why you are so much more laid back, carefree and have a better personality than your brother years from now.

I don't want to end my post with such tragic, sad story, but my sister told me about this today. http://www.ocregister.com/news/oung-368101-engen-police.html
I think motherhood is the hardest job on the planet. I don't care what anyone says. Even the President's job is a walk in the park compared to being a mom, I think. So when I heard and read about this, it broke my heart for the family she leaves behind but also for her, who no one can or should judge unless you have been in her shoes. I don't know if it was postpartum depression, but I remember how out of it I was as a first time mom with Owen. I cried a lot, hormonal big time, and did not really enjoy those first few months. And Owen was not colicky and even slept well through the night. But from the big to the most minute things - I obsessed and had anxiety about them. I stressed myself out, not my child. Talk about a real Olympic sport - motherhood! Whether you have an easy-peasy baby or a fussy, colicky baby...every mom deserves a gold medal.
